We are looking for a Director of User Experience (UX) Design who will be part of the CX & Design leadership team. The Director of UX is responsible for defining, measuring, and driving a world-class user experience for Mailchimp across our App and Mobile properties. You will lead and grow a team that will identify and drive the optimization of key customer-facing areas to connect the dots across the brand from marketing the campaigns across .com, using the product across desktop and mobile, to helping integrate contextual content such as the knowledge base, Mailchimp presents, and customer support. This team will be responsible for the management and delivery of the UX strategies, tools, concepts, and measurement. You will continually evaluate user experience opportunities, frame options and decision choices, and facilitate constructive tradeoffs to drive customer and business outcomes measured by a combination of CSAT, NPS, Usability scores as well as UX benchmarks.
As the Director of UX, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders -including strategy, marketing, customer support, design, product, engineering, and back office teams- to drive a culture of customer-centric thinking throughout the organization. You will have a proven track record of success in elevating the experience, leading with a strong vision, and a mindset that views the user experience as Mailchimp’s most important “product.” You should also have experience creating world-class systems and processes to measure and improve user experience. In this role, you will be part of the CXD leadership and report to the Chief Experience Officer.
What you’ll do here:
- Set a vision for great customer experience across several large product areas, inspire others to get behind the vision, and deliver products that are known for delight and ease of use.
- Partner with product, data science, and engineering peers to develop vision, strategy, metrics, and goals.
- Negotiate trade offs, find solutions with partners, and work with teams to deliver high-quality and customer informed experiences.
- Work with other design directors to develop design patterns and standards.
- Mentor and lead a team of managers, product designers, and content strategists.
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You have 10+ years experience in product design and leadership in SaaS applications related to marketing, CRM, or similar software.
- You have a great eye for detail, experience making the complex simple, and a portfolio to demonstrate it.
- You know how to lift the business through an end-to-end focus on customer experience
- You work with Scrum/Agile design, A/B testing, and measurement for UX.
