You will have a proven track record of success in elevating the experience, leading with a strong vision, and a mindset that views the user experience as Mailchimp’s most important “product.” You should also have experience creating world-class systems and processes to measure and improve user experience. In this role, you will be a key member of CXD Leadership and Mailchimp’s Senior Leadership Team and report to the Chief Experience Officer.

What you’ll do here:

  • Ensure team establishes and maintains appropriate rigor around workflows and processes that support efficiency and quality goals that scale
  • Work closely with other UX Directors to advance patterns and standards as well as finalize timelines and deliverables and encourage collaboration
  • Work strategically and collaboratively with cross-functional leaders throughout the organization
  • Work with the UX managers and teams to ensure exceptional design deliverables; set and exceed best practices and standards, measurable impacts, and design integrity in the final product
  • Manage the UX team’s visibility, documentation and process tools.
  • Build a culture and system that inspires the entire organization to become even more customer-centric in their efforts to support our customer needs

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have extensive product design and UX experience with a proven track record to align creative teams within a unified customer experience.
  • You have 10+ years of demonstrated UX leadership and management for branded products or systems.
  • You have a portfolio that illustrates your experience designing across web and mobile.
  • You have experience leading UX design managers and large teams, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • You are an empathic leader with proven leadership and decision making skills.
  • You are an exceptional communicator (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate a vision to cross-functional teams.
  • You are a skilled collaborator with strong execution skills and an ability to drive action and accountability as well as experience defining and optimizing UX processes.
  • You are adaptable to change, collaborative, and can work through ambiguity with ease.
